Editorial Standards
The rules we hold ourselves to. Calculators rely on math being right, so the bar is higher than for general content sites — but the principles below apply to every word and every line of code published.
Formula verification
- Every calculation derives from a primary source — academic paper, bookmaker rule book, or government tax authority.
- The derivation is shown on the calculator's methodology section, never hidden behind a sidebar link.
- Calculator output is tested against published examples from at least two independent sources before launch.
Update cadence
- State tax tables — reviewed every January after federal/state finalize for the new tax year.
- UK bookmaker bonus rules — reviewed quarterly and on detected changes.
- Calculator UX/copy — ad hoc, with a "Last updated" timestamp on every page.
Corrections
A wrong calculation is fixed within 24 hours of detection, with a change note on the page. Material corrections — those that would change a bettor's stake decision — are marked prominently and date-stamped.
Commercial content disclosure
BettorStack earns commission from some sportsbook links — Bet365 Partners, William Hill, OddsMonkey, Stake.com, and others.
Affiliate relationships do not influence which sportsbooks are cited for examples, the accuracy of calculations, or methodology pages. Every page with an affiliate link discloses the relationship inline. Full affiliate disclosure.
AI-assisted writing
AI tools are used as drafting and research assistants. Every published page is reviewed and edited by a human reviewer before publishing. Math is independently verified against primary sources. No page is published unread, and AI is never used to fabricate citations or examples.
What we never do
- Fake reviews, fake testimonials, fake AggregateRating structured data.
- "Best sportsbook" listicles ranking by affiliate payout.
- Mass-generated programmatic SEO doorway pages.
- Paid links, PBNs, or automated link-building tools.
